Born into the Dazkar tribe of archers and hunters, Qara never felt like she could live up to her tribe's expectations of her. From a young age, she knew she had a Warrior's Soul and set out to Eorzea to fulfill her own destiny.

A Bartender at Knight

During her travels Qara was scouted to join an organization known as the "Starry Knights" by one Jaydin Byrd. Eager to prove herself and use her axe for a worthwhile cause, Qara accepted. Alongside her job as a Knight came a more mundane offer: a bartending position at the organization's restaurant. Qara has found a way to be competitive even there, initiating bartending contests with her co-bartender, Yarothgar.**Qara can be found working at the Starry Garden [Mateus, Lavender Beds, Ward 21, Plot 1] when it is open.

Qara Dazkar was born into the Dazkar tribe. She was expected to a be a great hunter and archer, as was custom, and there were whispers that she was born under an auspicious omen, one that often heralded the next matriarch. From the first time a bow was thrust into her hands, the young au'ra girl wanted nothing to do with it. She had no patience for tracking and hunting, and her arrows were more likely to find themselves embedded in a tree than a beastkin. Qara never warmed up to horses and still refuses to ride one to this day.Childhood on the Steppe for Qara was spent hiding from her responsibilities, being chided by her parents, and running off to secluded areas of the Steppe only to be dragged back to the yurts by her childhood friend, Esugenn. While hiding out, she loved taking over Esugenn's chore of chopping wood. Unlike the bow, the axe felt good in her hand, right. At each Nadaam she watched the more aggressive tribes with longing, especially the Dotharl.The feeling that she was born into the wrong tribe, the wrong destiny, grew as she did. At 15 she met a traveller while accompanying Esugenn on an errand in Reunion. It was this chance encounter that decided it: she would leave her tribe, her family, her home, to become an adventurer and forge a new destiny for herself.Upon leaving the tribe, Qara began her life as an adventurer with a new name, now introducing herself as Qara "Daznik" -- she wished neither to falsely claim another tribe or to be associated with one that felt fundamentally wrong to her.

Esugenn Dazkar (Childhood Friend)

(Personal NPC/Retainer) Qara grew up with Esugenn among the Dazkar tribe. Unlike Qara, Esu, as she refers to him, gladly embraced tribal traditions. As a male, he performed household duties for his family without complaint. He often chided Qara for complaining about her role as a hunter and archer as she hid in his families' yurt when the call for a hunt went out. When Qara decided to leave the tribe, and the Steppe, he tried to stop her every way he knew how, but was easily overpowered by the small Au'ra. The next time they saw each other in Kugane, Qara had grown into a powerful Warrior in her own right, and Esu apologized for not believing in her dreams. He is currently a skilled and well accomplished Weaver and Leatherworker.

Rina Sabine (Player Character)
A Fellow Knight. When they are working as Knights, Qara tends to pair off with Rina as she enjoys watching the other Xaela's reactions. Their opposing personalities and mannerisms create a strange dynamic that isn't always successful on their information gathering tasks, but creates a nice compliment in other situations.

Jaydin Byrd (Player Character)
Owner of The Starry Gardens and the one who recruited Qara to both. She doesn't know too much about her boss, typically only interacting with her at work.

Yarothgar Korvasch (Player Character)
Qara's co-bartender at The Starry Garden and fellow Knight. Due to their opposite sizing, they make quite the pair. Qara admires his comfortable ease with people and striking up conversation in general, which she typically finds dull or exhausting. She is determined to beat him in a bartending contest despite being a novice.
